The Quran was revealed in Arabic, just as how the Torah [: the Hebrew Bible] and the Gospel were revealed in their original ************************s. The Quran is the word of God in Arabic.
The translation of the meaning of the Quran to English and any other ************************ is not the Quran; but only the translation of the meaning and explanation of the Quran to other ************************s.
Therefore, the Arabic Quranic revelations (or ayat) should be mentioned together with the English translation; so that the English reader or other foreign reader will not understand that the English or French words are the Quran, when in fact they are only the translation of the meaning and the explanation to other ************************s, but they are not at all the Quran.
How can any translator translate the word of God, whatever skillful he may be!? Because the Quran is the word of God, while the translation is the word of the translator according to his linguistic capability, and according to his understanding of the Quran.
Moreover, the Quran is superior to any century and generation, and
1. it bears deep meanings that will be discovered by time.
2. It includes puzzles and mysterious ayat that is a challenge to man-kind and demon-kind (or genie-kind) to solve them or to bring about any analogue to the Quran.
3. It includes foretelling about the unknown that will certainly be unknown to the translator and other commentators.
4. It includes psychological remedy and cure to man who recite and listen to it.
5. It is a blessed heavenly book that many disciplines of science and knowledge will stem, branch and rebranch from it.
In conclusion, the translation of the Qurnic aya should be accompanied by the original aya in Arabic; and it must be asserted that the English or French and other ************************ translations are only the translation but not the Quran text.
The same thing is applied to the Bible; because all these available versions are not the original text of the Bible in its original ************************s: Hebrew and Syro-Chaldaic.
For this reason, we see different versions of the Bible as do we see different translations of the meaning of the Quran. Therefore, the Arabic Quranic aya must be mentioned together with its explanation in any ************************.
